The Spicemas Corporation is a statutory body created by an act of parliament. The Corporation is responsible for promoting and organizing Grenada’s Carnival “Spicemas” and all official Spicemas events.
The Corporation plays a crucial role in ensuring the success and smooth execution of Grenada's Carnival celebrations. With its expertise and resources, the Corporation actively works towards creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere that showcases the rich cultural heritage of the island. Additionally, it collaborates with various stakeholders to attract both locals and tourists, making Spicemas a truly unforgettable experience for all.

While several Caribbean countries celebrate Carnival, Spicemas must be seen as a Cultural festival unique to Grenada, especially for its J’ouvert, Traditional Mas and Monday Nite Mas, which are definite stand-outs when compared to other Caribbean islands. It is a compelling expression of Caribbean culture and Street Theatre through music, dance, entertainment and cuisine, and of significant importance, all of these comes together and are enjoyed in a ‘safe crime free’ environment amongst hospitable people.
