He holds an MFA (Theatre) and an MA (Interdisciplinary Studies) from York University. Gomez is an executive member of the Harriet Tubman Institute, a founding member and current president of Organization of Calypso Performing Artistes, a board member of the Festival Management Committee as the representative for the Organization of Calypso Performing Artistes, former Chair of Caribana Arts Group, and a nominee for a Teacher of The Year award. He is also an event manager. As King Cosmos, he is a composer and recording artiste and the winner of various music awards. His music can be found on You Tube, Spotify and other streaming platforms.
